Please note that directory management can only be done by administrators through the Admin Portal on the Web platform.
There are two methods that can be used to disable directory management for a managed user. Follow the steps below either method below.
Method 1:
- Log in to the admin portal using your admin credentials at https://admin.hypercare.com/home
- Click on the “Users” tab located at the top right-hand side of your screen to navigate to your organization’s user list. Locate the user you would like to disable directory management for.
- Click on the "" tab located at the end of the user’s name.
- Click on the "Disable directory management" option from the dropdown list of actions. Directory management for this user has now been disabled.
Method 2:
- Log in to the admin portal using your admin credentials at https://admin.hypercare.com/home
- Click on the “Users” tab located at the top right-hand side of your screen to navigate to your organization’s user list. Select the desired user you would like to disable directory management for. After selecting their username, their full profile should be displayed.
- Click on the “Disable directory management” option located at the bottom right-hand side of your screen, in the “Danger zone” area. A window will pop up asking to reconfirm whether you would like to disable directory synchronization management. Click "Disable sync"
* If you are unsure about disabling directory management for the selected user, click the “Learn more” option to navigate to another article that explains the difference between a managed and unmanaged user
- After confirming, a message will pop up. It should read, “Directory synchronization will be disabled for this user on the next sync.” This indicates that this user has changed from a managed user to an unmanaged user.
* Note that for DirSync management organization, if a user is sync disabled, then anything change in external directory will not be effect to the user --> DONT QUITE UNDERSTAND THIS NOTE
How to remove a directory managed user from my organization?
If a user is managed by an external directory, the user must be removed from the external directory instead of Hypercare. This change will be reflected on Hypercare in real-time immediately.
