A managed account is an account that is managed through directory synchronization with an organization's external directory. This means that the user life cycle and account information are synced from the external directory to Hypercare.
If you see a "Managed by directory service" badge on the top, left-hand side of the user’s profile, it means that this account is a managed account and its information is being synchronized with the organization's external directory.

An unmanaged account is an account that is not managed directly within Hypercare, independent of any synchronization with an external directory. These accounts are typically used for individuals who do not have an external directory profile within the organization, such as contractors or temporary staff. If there are any changes in the external directory, this account will not be affected.

How to remove a managed user from the organization?
If a user is managed by an external directory, the user must be removed from the external directory instead of Hypercare. This change will be reflected on Hypercare in real-time immediately.
