Having issues with your notifications?
To prevent missing any clinical notifications from Hypercare on your phone, let's walk through some common troubleshooting steps.
Quick Fixes
- Restart your phone - A quick reboot can resolve temporary glitches
- Delete and Redownload Hypercare - This ensures you’re using the latest version with correct settings
- Check battery levels - Low power mode may restrict background activity
- Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep mode
- Remove task killers - These may interfere with notification delivery
Are you an Android user?
Since Android settings vary by device, we recommend checking your device’s notifications configuration. Here are additional troubleshotting tips you can do:
- If you haven’t already, ensure your notification settings are properly configured: check out the Android section on the Setting up Notifications support article.
- If you can’t hear notifications, check the volume and sound settings section in the Customizing Notification Sounds for Regular, Urgent or Stat Messages support article.
Check Background Data Access and make sure it is not restricted
- Open Settings > Apps > Hypercare
- Go to Data Usage and ensure Background Data is enabled (i.e. “Allow background data usage” is toggled ON)
- Repeat these steps for Google Services, which helps with notification delivery
Disable Battery Optimization / DOZE Mode
Battery-saving settings can prevent Hypercare from running in the Background
- Open Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization
- Find Hypercare and set it to Not optimized or Excluded
Check Do Not Disturb and Priority Mode
- Make sure Do Not Disturb or DND is disabled
- Or if you want to use DND, make sure Hypercare is set to bypass DND (See: Android Notification Settings)
