We’ve set distinctive sounds for regular, urgent, and stat messages in the Hypercare app for easy identification upon receiving. If you’d like to customize the sounds, please see the steps below.
IMPORTANT: For Android devices, once you select a custom sound, you can’t revert to the default sounds unless you delete and redownload the app.
To customize sound notifications:
- Go to your mobile device's notification settings for Hypercare.
- Go to your phone's Settings app > Apps (or App Management) > Notifications (or Notification categories). If you need additional guidance, see the Android section in the Setting up Notifications support article.
- Select "Regular Notifications", tap "Sound", and choose your preferred sound.
- Then go back and repeat the same steps for "Stat Notifications" and "Urgent Notifications".
Still Can’t hear your Notifications?
To make sure you hear notifications from our app, your phone MUST NOT BE in Silent or Vibrate mode. There are a few ways to check:
Option 1: From the Notification Panel
- From your phone’s Home Screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Here you will see your notifications and shortcuts to Wifi, Bluetooth, etc.
- Look for the Sound mode button (how it appears may vary by device)
- If you are on Sound mode - it may look like a Speaker icon or a Bell icon
- If you are on Silent mode - it may look like a Speaker icon or a Bell icon with a line through it
- If you are on Vibrate mode - it may look like a Phone icon with zigzag lines beside it
- Tap the icon until it shows the Sound Mode icon properly to ensure your phone is set to play sounds from your notification
Option 2: from the Volume buttons
- Press the Volume Up or Down button on the side of your phone.
- When the volume slider appears on the side of your screen, look for additional options like the Sound mode button (how it appears may vary by device):
- If you are on Sound mode - it may look like a Speaker icon or a Bell icon
- If you are on Silent mode - it may look like a Speaker icon or a Bell icon with a line through it
- If you are on Vibrate mode - it may look like a Phone icon with zigzag lines beside it
- Tap the icon until it shows the Sound Mode icon properly to ensure your phone is set to play sounds from your notification
