Safeguard notifications is a feature that allows you to receive Hypercare notifications through alternate channels (email or SMS to your phone number) in case they do not successfully get sent to your mobile device (e.g. in situations where your internet connection is poor).
How to turn on your Safeguard Notifications:
- Tap “Settings” in the bottom bar
- Tap on “Notification Settings”
- Tap on “Receive Safeguard notifications”
- Switch the toggle on to receive Safeguard notifications
- Select one or more contact methods to receive the Safeguard notifications
How it works:
When you are logged into a mobile device, and it detects any undelivered notifications, you will receive a safeguard notification instead. The timing of receiving these safeguard notifications depends on the priority level of the Hypercare message:
- For General messages, the safeguard notification will be sent to the email / phone number after 5 minutes
- For Urgent (!) messages, the safeguard notification will be sent to the email / phone number after 3 minutes
- For STAT (!!) messages, the safeguard notification will be sent IMMEDIATELY to the email / phone number
Note: The email and/or SMS backup notifications will not bypass DND/silent modes set on your device.
