The Shift Check-in feature in Hypercare allows users to check into a role in the on-call schedule. This feature is currently available only on the Hypercare mobile app and must be enabled for your organization.
📌 Please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager to request this feature or reach out to our Support team at support@hypercare.com.

Steps to CHECK-IN to a shift:
- Navigate to the On-call tab and select the department that has the shift you will check into.
- Find the shift you want to check into. Press and hold the shift box until the Check In button appears. Then press the Check In button.
- A “Shift check-in” pop-up will appear with a reminder that you are checking into that specific role. Then click Confirm (or Cancel if you don’t want to check-in).
- Your name may appear instantly in the shift. But if it does not: Go back to the main On-call tab and re-enter that department view and the schedule should refresh to show the updated role assignment.
What happens after you CHECK-IN?
- The originally scheduled user will receive an automated message letting them know that someone has checked into their on-call role.
- Your name will appear in the schedule for that role for the remainder of the shift (unless someone check in later)
A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
- You can check into an empty shift.
- The Check-in pop-up does not show the end time, so make sure to also review the end time of the shift you plan to check into.
- You must be a member of the department to check into a shift within it.
- There is currently no “Check Out” function and so if someone else is taking over, they must check-in themselves.
- Again reminder: if your name does not appear immediately after check-in, you can refresh the page by going back to the On-call tab and re-entering the department view.
