What is "On-call"?
Hypercare's "On-Call" feature acts as a virtual switchboard. It allows staff members of the organization to identify and communicate with on-call specialists easily and efficiently. The On-Call schedule view has two view options:
- “On-Call Now” - This view allows the user to see who is the on-call person at that specific moment.
- “On-call (all day)” - this view allows the user to see who is on-call for the day.
Accessing On-Call Now:
To view your organization's “On-Call Now” schedule, please follow the subsequent steps:
- Tap on the "On-call" icon at the bottom of your mobile device.
- If your organization has more than one site, tap on the site name, which is located just below your organization’s name, and select the desired site from the pop-up window.
- Select your desired department schedule from the department list to view the on-call schedule.
- Tap on the on-call role to directly message the on-call practitioner
Accessing the Full-Day Schedule:
The “On-call (all day)” view allows the user to see all users on-call for the day in a particular department. For example, it’s 05:00 AM, and Dr. A, an Anesthesiologist, is starting his day. Through the “On-Call Now” schedule view, Dr. A can see Dr. B is the current Anesthesiologist on-call.
However, Dr. A needs to see who the next on-call person for the day is. By toggling from the “On-Call Now” schedule view to the “On-call (all day),” he can see all Anesthesiologists on-call for the day.
To view your organization's Full-day schedule, please follow the subsequent steps:
- Tap on the "On-call" icon at the bottom of your mobile device.
- If your organization has more than one site, tap on the site name, which is located just below your organization’s name, and select the desired site from the pop-up window.
- Select your desired department from the department list to view the on-call schedule.
- Tap on the three horizontal lines to switch to the “On-call (all day)” view
- Tap on the on-call role to directly message the on-call practitioner.

- Click on "On-call" on the top toolbar of the web application.
- If your organization has more than one site, tap on the site name, which is located below your organization’s name, and select the desired site from the pop-up window.
- Select your desired department from the department list to view the on-call schedule.
- By clicking on the on-call practitioner, you can view their contact information and select the best way to contact them.
