Changing your availability:
Users have the option to change their availability status to three possible options:- Available - all notifications will be received
- Busy - only urgent/STAT notifications will be received
- Unavailable - no notifications will be received
Example use cases:
- Busy - attending a meeting, in surgery
- Unavailable - away on vacation, at a conference
To update your status on iOS, follow the steps below:
- Go to Settings
- Click on Status
- Customize a message (optional) to go along with your status
- Select your availability
- When selecting Busy or Unavailable, you must set an end time for when you will become available -- by default this is 30 minutes, however it can be customized based on your availability
- For all three availability statuses, an alternate contact can be set for those trying to reach you
- Choose whether your status message and/or alternate contact is removed once your Busy or Unavailable status expires
Please note: While a user is listed as Unavailable, they will not be able to use the Hypercare app, and therefore must update their status to either available or busy to allow access.
