When creating on-call schedules it can be helpful to know if there are any conflicts or warnings. Hypercare's conflict checking will ensure administrators are aware of overlapping shifts across departments and reduce the potential of double-booking clinicians. Conflict warnings will let the schedular or administrator know if a clinician has two scheduled shifts in the same calendar day. Conflict checking and warning is available in both DRAFT and PUBLISHED modes.
When creating a schedule, the number of conflicts and warnings in any given schedule will show up in the top left beside DRAFT, as shown in the image below.
To identify individual conflicts, simply hover over the conflict or warning icon on the particular shift that the user is scheduled for. Any and all conflicts will appear in a scroll down window.
Individual conflicts and warnings can also be checked while inputting shifts clicking on the shift itself and selecting Check for Conflicts in the pop-up window. Any and all conflicts and warnings will appear at the top of the pop-up window.
Once the PUBLISH & NOTIFY button is clicked on the top right, all conflicts and warnings will be listed, if applicable. The administrator can choose to continue editing or they can select PUBLISH ANYWAY depending on their preference.
Happy scheduling!
