Existing systems for communicating in healthcare are notoriously difficult for clinicians to understand when the communication has arrived to the other provider due to:
- Reliance on intermediaries to transfer the information such as switchboard operators and clerks
- Blackbox process where there is no information recorded when the communication as arrived to the other provider
Hypercare allows clinicians to quickly figure out where the message information currently lie.
Delivery To Status - a message is marked as delivered if the recipient received a push notification (which may be inaccurate as Apple/Google may sometimes fail to deliver push notifications) or if the user has the app already opened.
Read By Status - a message is marked as read if the user has opened up the chat where the message is within the last 25 messages fetched. It does not accurately represent whether the user has spent the time reading the content.
